About Dr. Amy Lee

Since graduating from the University of Washington, Seattle, Dr. Amy Lee has dedicated her medical life to leading the charge on human health research. She followed her collegiate career with four years at Champaign-Urbana/Peoria, IL, to pursue her medical degree. She then left the midwest to complete her internal medicine residency at the prestigious University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Dr. Amy Lee’s mentors were UCLA’s renowned endocrinologist, David Heber, and the reputable internist, Zhaoping Li. Together, these doctors trained Dr. Lee to understand all she could about obesity medicine. Eventually, Dr. Lee was offered a medical nutrition fellowship at UCLA’s famous Center of Human Nutrition. There, she orchestrated clinical trials on various weight control methods, including thermogenic weight loss aids. Together with her colleagues, Dr. Lee’s work was published in Nutrition & Metabolism — a distinguished medical publication.

Dr. Lee is on the National Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists, and she is a member of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Plus, she is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
